Windsor Drive is an experimental indie rock band from Houston, Texas, that was formed in August, 2004, in Wausau, Wisconsin. They are influenced by many artists including Coldplay, LoveDrug, Copeland, The Killers, Jimmy Eat World, Cursive, and many others. They recorded the "Snowing in July" EP in October of 2004 with producer Mike Hoffmann. Mike's production credits include The Verve Pipe (RCA), Willy Porter (Private), Violent Femme Drummer Victor DeLorenzo (ALMO/Geffen), Carnival Strippers (FOX/Zoo), and the Spanic Boys (Rounder). The E.P. was released in March of 2005.
During the remainder of 2005, Windsor Drive toured the country in support of their new E.P. The tours were very successful; playing at historic clubs such as CBGB's in New York City, Little Brother's in Columbus, Ohio, The Rave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, The Creepy Crawl in St. Louis, Missouri, and Arlene's Grocery in New York. After a year of releasing the EP, writing new material, and touring constantly, they plan on entering the studio in 2006 to record their first full length album, a follow up to "Snowing in July".
Windsor Drive has shared the stage with many great bands including June (Victory Records), The Receiving End of Sirens (Triple Crown), Gatsby's American Dream (Fearless), The Rocket Summer (The Militia Group), The Junior Varsity (Victory Records), Number One Fan (Universal/PRC), The Felix Culpa (Common Cloud) and many more!
