Bran Joslyn is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She started singing when she was 12 and has been playing guitar since the age of 13. Within a year, she was writing original songs, recording in small studios in her spare time, and playing at local churches in the Orlando, Florida area. In 2001, she joined a youth group band singing back up, playing lead guitar, and, at times, performing for audiences of up to 600 people.
In 2003, she moved from Orlando to Tupelo, Mississipi. Not long after moving to Tupelo, she discovered she was only four hours from Nashville. Located in Nashville is none other than Quad Studios, which has accommodated many high profile artists such as Garth Brooks, Jewell, and Bob Dylan. Within a few weeks she was in Nashville recording her first song, “Storm” with producer, Elisha Hoffman (G-Unit, Kid Rock). In all, the demo took only 4 days to make, one day for each recording and one day for mixing.
In 2005, her recording, “Nightmare”, caught the attention of the founder of Artistlaunch.com and she was invited to join, free of cost, his new project, Independentartistscompany.com. In only two weeks “Nightmare” went from being in the 1000s to being in the top 50 songs played. On April 3rd 2005, “Excuse Me” hit # 1 site wide on the KIAC Big 50. “Excuse Me” has also made it into the most played list on XM Satellite Radio’s unsigned band station. Currently, her new release, “Remember”, climbed the top of KIAC pop charts and remained there for 3 weeks.
